PLANTSIM 2.0

Visualisation of an operating digital copy of Tennessee Eastman Process in Web, with the option of managing simulation scenarios by means of Web console. Plant-Sim Web 2.0 is more light-weighted(?) and user-friendly than the previous version of the project.
-The possibility of using software, which detects production anomalies, analysing the traffic
-It is possible to use an actual PLC controller or its implementation for simulation

Business-task of the project:
– Increasing opportunities of our previous project Plant-Sim 1.0.
– Simplifying the project launching and using for demonstrations (making it possible for the client to use the visualization mode with the help of Web)
– Optimizing the effects and scenes. Developing new means of visualization
– Developing new simulation management tools
– Adding the possibility of versatile usage: as a show/exhibition project or an interactive project for conducting training in the company
What we did and how we did it:
– Visualization was transferred to the Web browser (WebGL)
– Controlling was transferred to the Web console. Authorization was added, the effects and models were optimized
– New effects, 3D objects, and stylized environment were added
– Mathematical model was optimized (we extended the functionality of the mathematical model by adding new ways of interference: real-time attack, launching the model from the saved point, new types of attack; we also increased the amount of simulated events in the scene with the factory)
– In accordance with the updated functionality of the model, new options were introduced to the control panel, and scenarios composing and editing…
– The possibility of using PLC for simulation was added. Physical PLC is supported
-Supporting Modbus and OPC UA protocols
Specifics of the project: The technologies employed in the project include 3D-visualization, mathematical simulation, computer-assisted instruction, and working with both real-life industrial equipment and its softcopy. The fact that the application is available in Web provides the users with the mobility of solutions. The functionality of the stand has significantly extended, allowing the clients to manage both business-tasks and business trainings in the company
